Sure SM58 for Guitar?

I have a Sure SM58 that I have laying around here. I originally got it for vocals a few years back, and now I have a SP C1 and VTB-1 for that.

I know the Sure SM57 is great for guitar cabinets, but I don't have one yet. How good/bad is the Sure SM58 for this. I'm sure I'll eventually get around to buying a couple of SM57s to have around, but I'm looking for opinions on using the SM58 here.

The SM57 and SM57 use the same capsule and are very much the same mic. If you take the ball off your 58 it will record cabinets well.
