i'm trying to do a super low frequency bass note using the dreamstation dxi in sonar xl to accentuate the downbeat in a song.

go to www.mp3.com/thefullblast and listen to the first song. what i'm trying to do happens right after the quiet part around the 2:45 point.

is it even possible to do this with the dreamstation synth? and if so, what is the best way to set this up?

thanks!

Sorry, didn't hear anything special other than a massive bass-boost, but that could be because I don't have a subwoofer...

Is it possible? I don't think so, but you might try, if you haven't done it allready... ;)

I don't use mp3.com so I didn't listen to the track. but if you want to accentuate a particular note, try setting up a track just for the accentuated notes, then you can play around with them separately in the mix.

for anyone interested...

i managed to do this eventually by sending a very short d1 through to the dreamstation. set osc 1 for sin, set osc 2 for sin an octave down, and then started with effects. first was maxxbass, then compressed it heavily, then used the fxreverb and made the mix about 70% wet with about 7 seconds of decay and high roll offs cranked. it creates the really big, low, medium length "BOOM" i was going for. probably doesn't sound as good as if i had some more pro equipment and know-how, but for what i'm doing i think it'll get by.
