Im looking for a good microphone to use with my computer to record vocals for my upcoming rap project. I need something that will make my music sound almost professional. If you guys have any suggestions on what I should get that would be cool. Im running low on a budget and need something really cheap but quality. I just dont want my project to sound like I recorded off a fisher price microphone, ya know?

thanx for your time!!

Peace.

for trying to get results that you actually like, i would look at nothing less than a shure sm-58, and some kind of preamp to go into your line in. the 58 is a standard workhorse in many studios and clubs around the world. you should be able to get one, used, for no more than 50 bucks if you look around.

any suggestions on a pre-amp? do you know any audio that I can peep that used that kind of mic? thanks for your help!

a little more info would help on advising you.
what exactly are you willing to spend? what gear are you recording into now?
a lot of people are getting good results with the studio projects b1(around $79)
do you have a soundcard?
i would go with a ldc. you will need phantom power with that type of mic.

this aint my homeboy from San Jo is it.
