Okay, it's been over 12 hours, and I haven't heard a thing. Not that I'm necessarily on "SPEED DIAL" at Jamal's house or anything, but I had hoped to hear something by now.

Our first child took a little over 27 hours from onset of labor to birth, so I'm sure they're fine...but man, the suspense is just KILLING ME!!!!
 
Jamal, this is real easy to listen to. Great harmonies. The lyrics are very clever. Extremly cool my friend. And a BIG congrats on the baby!
 
great tune papa jamal-fine melody-singing is great-i thought i heard an occasional bass note that didnt jive-~2:20 for example---maybe something to do with those neat augmented chords? Congrats on the new guitar-LP is my all time fave looking guitar-but to this day ive never played one :(......Now you need a rocker worthy of that new axe! Oh and many congrats on the new mouth to feed! All the best to you and yours.

I listened to this a couple days ago and forgot to weigh in.

The biggest thing to stand out for me is that this is one of the best recording jobs I have heard from you.
No longer will I accept your "My stuff sounds like doo doo" balony!

Hey man I think I gotta agree with you about the Paul. If I lost mine I'd take the world out of orbit.

This is a fantastic song man. I like it without the drums, and unless they were done very well, I think they'd hurt the song, but still might be worth experimenting in. Great vocals on this...nice job!
 
Wow, nice Jamal. I think I get the story on this one, real nice sound. I'm hearing some distortion and artifacts, I can't tell from the damn mp3 what it is. The bass seemed a bit heavy on my earphones. What happened to your last name?

boydrj:....thanks ..yeah im sorta on the fence on the whole "put drums in /leave drums out"...deal.. i always go from one end of the spectrum to the other ..it always starts out too high in the mix....then i cover mid-heavy......now im on bass heavy..lol...its not quite the final one soo...

erichenryus:..yes my man this s sorta what i sounded like when i started out ..i mean this was one of the first "whole" songs i came up with....i think that some "percussion" as opposed to drums would work in this....just havent had time as yet to try anything out yet...babies soak up a lot of time.....lolllllbut worth it.
