As I said to you earlier, this is about the best piece of songwriting I've heard from you. You just keep getting better and better every damn sunday....I'm a bit jealous of this one, it's fantastic! Just an excellent song!

Oh, and the recording is GREAT!

are you just trying to get out of putting up a new one tomorrow?....:D :D :D :D

thanks for putting it back up....its another awesome piece.....

Great tune. I loved the piano playing.

Sounded better than anything I've heard on lo-fi. I can only imagine what Hi-fi would sound like.

Each time I listen to one of your tunes, I have a higher respect for you and your work. Glad you put it back up!

dude, good one! the best one.. my favorite part was the vocals.. really liked this one.. I like the piano fade in on the second part.. sounds like a very 70's type production.. great!

I thought the sound effects were cool, but too loud.. The beginning one made my speakers crackle..

A virtual helicopter in the opening, with explosions... and a really expensive sounding reverb... sounds sweet here...

The reverbed piano sounds interesting... the reflections become dissonant with each new chord. A song that makes one think of "forever" and "eternity"...

Here come the scary explosions in the end again... (well, just one of 'em :D)

Your sound is getting cleaner in the recording area, and more defined in the songwriting. Nice!

I posted this last sunday.

me too.... forgot what I said...but I'll have another listen.

oh yeah...wasn't sure if the sound effects had any relation to the song...but sure sounded cool....and that is all that counts, I suppose. No rules..eh?

great tune-very melancholy, which I usually like....great melodies-nice sound on the lead vocs and the bg-vox as well...sounded like a strange decay on the low piano notes in the slower sections-but maybe it's that underlying rumble??no biggie didnt bother me...the only thing I can say is that I wish it were longer:) (always good to keep people wanting more I say)....Very nice tune.

S'matter? Don't like guitar no more? :D :D

'When you said goodbye
It was a long day'

Isn't it interesting how some of the best lyrics are the simplest?

Good one, Emeric. The nice vocal backups help make the lead vocal better - the vocal in the accelerated portion might be a bit too loud on the first sung note of each line/verse though.

Hey Emeric,
......WOW! This is really nice man! .....disturbing. I love the vocs in this. .....so clean and pristine, in a dark piece of music. ......very nice!!!

Man..............I think this might be the best thing yet from you. Very impressive.......reminds me a little of Alan Parsons. And I like Parsons a lot.
This is a beautiful tune.....simple, yet builds to a climax and then dies back down....very cool.
Oh yeah....the recording is very pro-sounding. Nice work.

I better post fast, the narrow window of site function is quickly closing.

Slackmaster2K - You're too kind. Glad you liked the tune!

jcmm - Thanks jcmm

Gidge - Yes I am indeed, worked to didn't it! Thanks for listening Gidge.

Sennheiser - Thanks for checking it out, good it's presentable in lo-fi too, not everyone has high speed.

David - Thanks, appreciate the listen.

B.SABBATH - Thanks for the feedback, The sound effects might be too loud. I was deaf as usual by the time I got around to mixing this.

participant - Yeah that built in reverb on the nanopiano is way expensive man! :) Thanks Chad.

mixmkr - Thanks for listening to it again, I shouldn't of nuked the thread last week. Not sure why I did. The FX I guess don't have any connection. The whole song is a bit disjointed, but cest la vie.

Stratomaster - I think you listened to it last week to, thanks again. The length of the tune is short, but I don't see anyway of changing it now. :) I could have doubled the verse in the second part I suppose.'

dobro - I hate guitar :) Playing on this little roland controller keyboard is so much easier, just fire it up and go, no tuning, changing strings etc. My piano playing is very simplistic though, I think I'm reaching the end of ideas. Everything will end up sounding the same. You're right about the vocal volume in the second part. Thanks Dobro.

Thanks for the listen Guernica.

Lt. Bob - Thanks Lt., I'm somewhat puzzled by this one. I didn't expect people to like this tune, being a bit disjointed sounding. Interesting.

Thanks all.

Was that intro supposed to be me playing with my chemistry set while composing MIDI tunes? :)

I liked the change in key and in overall volume of the different sections. It lends a feeling of time having passed between them.

Nice job.

I'm bumping this because it's one of the most simple and expressive things I've heard around here, everybody should check it out!
