Opinions about the pre and Summit audio in general?

Summit = Killer, among the best...
This particular preamp? who knows... its not a starved plate design though, thats all I know... if you look around like you SHOULD have done in the 1st place :) you would see that Summit actually posted some info here on it when I first noticed it was coming out...
I would like to check one out myself....

I tried searching to no avail. nada. I looked elsewhere, nothing but news e.g. new product from Summit Audio. blah blah- no views at all, I guess its still too new?
I considering it because its not a starved plate junkola.

Anyone else?

I talked to one guy who's used it and says it sounds pretty good, but that it has a noticeable high-mid boost thing going on. So apparently it isn't of the transparent variety, but if you like that sort of thing . . .

How odd is that? Its got a variable impedance though....

Although it's not a starved plate, it's still not a "true" tube pre design. I could be wrong, but I'm under the impression that the input and outputs are both solid state, and the tube is a variable deal and there's no trannie.
