your voice sounds good in cyber space....and the acoustic sound too.

now about the gtrs...they seem to be battle-ing each other. Kinda like you played two tracks, and jammed the same riffs, but a different times. And it suffers from a solid "down beat". The timing is 'right on the edge'...real close to be off substantially. I think I'd almost prefer one track of gtr and you solo voice...or simplify each track, and let them try and compliment each other....ala one track ONLY rhy gtr...and the other track ONLY slide...kapeesh??

keep em coming...
Leo K. fan, eh?....I haven't heard his stuff for a long time...pretty awesome, if I remember.

You ever heard Doc Watson's version? Very Cool.

Mixmkr- Thanks for the listen. When you're talking about timing, do you mean that when I set up a timing sequence with a strong backbeat that it tends to be unforgiving? I get that sense from the mix (well, and that I need to tune some chops and lose the wrong notes). You described how I actually laid down the tracks; maybe a "less is more" approach will work here. Even with a clicktrack, it was still tough to keep it on the road.

There are four tracks; one vocal, one rhythm, one slide and one lead filler. I'm intrigued with the slide hook, but maybe there's too much of it.

Track Rat - I heard Doc Watson, but it was a long time ago. Now you've got me rummaging through my LP collection!

Thanks!

cool tune. yeah I hear the battling guitars at the beginning. Takes a way a bit I think. Vocals may need a bit of compression, they become inaudible in parts, but maybe you were going fo rthat effect. But nice hot breezy tune.

Took yer advice

I need to retrack the song, but in the meantime, I took out the slide and left it simple. Still just a sketch, but without the fighting going on...

Very nice.

you have a nice, controlled voice and I have no problem with the playing or the singing.

The recording sounds like it has too much of your room sound in it, but it works for the kind of song.

Funk on!
