Suitable jack to jack 1/4 inch cable

So I just bought a new DI box and am looking to get really nice clean signals out of guitars I record in the future.

What do you guys think would be a decent amount to spend on a fairly short 2 metre cable to use with the DI?

Any advice on brands or websites would be appreciated, or even any related tips.

Thank you!

Luke

IMO although they can work out ok, skip the molded jack cables. You're looking for goog solid steel screw top jacks, soldered decent quality wire. That also makes them repairable. Heat shrink strain relief is bonus points, and can add some additional life to the cable by speading out the bending at the jack.

There's no reason to spend more than $20 for a 6 ft/2 meter cable. More money won't get you anything that sounds better, and whether it lasts you 3 years, 5 years or 10 years, its a minor investment.
