I'm so sorry.
Not the act, the band. Alan Vega and Martin Rev. Concerning their first LP (the one with Frankie Teardrop on it), does anyone know anything about what Martin Rev used gear wise on this record?

I love that record.

Since it was made well before the dawn of midi they had to use hand-played mono synths through all manner of analog ruining gear. I suspect the Korg family was represented along with the Tandy/Moog clan and an ancient elecronic organ or two all played in the most cavalier manner with no respect for convention and no regard to the rules. Just the way all worthwhile music is made.

And his involvement with Suicide was my first hint that Rick Ocasek had anything on the ball. Unfortunatly outside of marrying Paulina Poritzkova he never showed me anything else...

I was hoping at least one of ya knew about Suicide. I have a video snippet mpeg where they do Ghost Rider, but you can't see any of Rev's gear at all.

That first lp is one of the best things I own. Love, love, love that record.

Thanks for the possible answers.

Ric Ocasik's involvement with Bad Brains, and Guided by Voices should be noted as well.

As a matter of fact, I just got a "live ghost rider 81" show....it's incredible. Heard it?

No --- :( --- please PM me.

Oh yeah - I forgot the WASP that he picked up in the UK sometime in the late 70's. It was a keyboard with a touch pad for keys and some truly fucked up sounds.
