Greetings.
I am new to recording and I will actually be recording myself reading the Bible. I am curious if anyone has any hints or tips about the recording process.
So far, I have played around and have tried two different methods. 1. start recording, read a paragraph, stop recording.... then start the thing again for another paragraph. I originally did this so that if I goof a section up, I only re-record that section (paragraph).
2. Read through, when I goof, pause for 2 seconds or so, then start again at the last sentence or other nice pause.
#2 seemed to work much better, but being new, and not being able to find much information about recording a reader, I would be very interested in any other hints, tips, suggestions or places to read about such a topic.
Thanks!
Edit: Forgot to say, I am using my computer, CoolEdit Pro 2.1, a Marshall V67G mic, Art MP Tube pre-amp into a Soundblaster audio card (I know, not the best).
