Suggestions for Sound card/home studio?

In the interests of clarity and for the avoidance of doubt, Sonar (software) can record unlimited number of inputs simulaneously, but its baby brother, Home Studio2002 (software) is limited to two inputs only.

The Delta 66 + omni can record upto 4 inputs, 2 mics with pre-amps, 2 other stereo ins.

And you can chain up to 4 Delta series cards together. When you bring up the M-Audio Delta control panel, there is a section on the right hand side that says "H/w installed". There are 4 checkboxes.
