Suggestions for new recording equipment.

Hello,
Well just got my tax return and thought it would be great to finally get my recording stuff going again.

Right now I have a CAD diaphragm mic and a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer. I want to buy an interface for my computer, since i had a huge problem with drift when recording with a digital recorder. hoping going straight to my computer would get rid of that.

I was looking at the Tascam US-144. what are other things would you guys recommend?
