Anybody has suggestions about a good sampler? I know it's like asking what type ice cream flavor you want, but to narrow it down, which brands should I def consider?
I'm looking for a sampler that can record a lot of sound, and at the same time make fx.....something that I could record and loop it too? <--is that possible?
Can I get suggestions for a sampler that's portable, and another good one for home and recording use?
Also....

Is there a specific machine for voice fx like a machine specialized in only vocoder use?

Thanks for your help

If you want the ultimate in powerful sampling, you need to go with a software unit like Kontakt. Coupled with a nice laptop, and you have one rockin bit of kit. If you are looking for a dedicated hardware unit, check out units like the Emu E4 range. There are many dedicated Vocoder boxes. Obviously some of the Vintage Korg or Roland stuff would be desirable. Boss makes the VT-1 which is more like vocal FX box. TC Works/TC Helicon makes about the best vocal gear around these days.
