I bought Cubase 6 recently and i dont know why it always have no sound coming out sometimes, or it will automatically and accidentally change to no sound... plz watch the video of the problem

I really appreciate help from others.... someone plz help me to fix this!

As you can see in the video, the volume control suddenly drops to zero.... and i must turn it on again. Also when im drum production, the software can detect the drums, and it should have something coming out, but theres no sound coming out too... :(

Really thanks ^^

If you open up the Devices tab on the top of your screen, there should be a dropdown. In the dropdown look for "Vst instruments" or something of that matter. Next should come up a window with some midi plugin info. If you haven't already, you need to select what midi plugins you will be using in your project. So you will have to click on the box for "vst instrument" or something and pick your halion midi plugin.

Also make sure that you have set up your interface or whatever output/mixing device you use in the device setup also under the devices tab.

it seems that this problem still occur... any other solutions?

even tho the software detected my midi keyboard played sth (as in the volume bar) but it suddenly drops to zero volume like what it did before....

What do you mean drops to zero volume? Like it will play for a little bit then cut out? I would try finding a patch for halion on the steinberg site. You might still not have your device instruments setup correctly yet.

I have a similar problem where I lose audio after doing some track editing. Audio stops, but all transport functions still work. I have to save the project and re-start Cubase to hear anything. Been looking for an answer for quite some time. Haven't heard back from Stienberg or MOTU yet. May be a driver issue, but updating and re-installilng has done nothing.

Do you use PC? I think quite a bit of people have some mixed reviews about MOTU driver compatibility with PC's. You usually have to sift through various 3rd party drivers to find which one works for you.

I have the exact same problem too! And I've used (not together): A) EMU 1212M ASIO,Card & Drivers; B) ASIO4ALL; C) Tascam 1800 USB ASIO, Card & Drivers.

I get this problem using Steinberg & Native Instruments VSTi's. I'm really upset about the N.I. Plugins as the Komplete set cost a small fortune!

Has anyone any ideas? I'm really open for info. Thanks in advance.
