embarrassed to ask!!!

Hello all,
After being away for awhile I am finally able to use my equipment that I bought almost a year ago.
I have a Mogami edition MXL V69 Tube.
It has its own power supply.
I know I have to hang the mic upside down, and let it warm up for about 1/2 hour before using.
I have the mic plugged into a Yamaha i88x.
Here is where the questions start.

DO I need to have to turn the phantom power on?
I still have to turn the gain up to hear anything correct?
(I told you basic embarrassing stuff)
I need to use a pop filter, because breezes against the mic is bad, yes?
Is there a difference between fan breezes and breath breezes?
It's hot and humid and I need to run fans in between recording.

That is all I can think of ATM,
as ususal thanks so very much for the great advice!

1. No, the power supply covers the power needs of the mic, so you don't need phantom on your preamp.
2. Yes, you'll still need preamp gain for the mic.
3. Yes, use a pop filter
4/5. I wouldn't advise having the fan blowing on/near the capsule of the mic.

Thanks srcubs for the quick reply!!!
Studiomaster, why did you even waste the energy to reply?
Did it make you feel better?
I hope so.
