This is a bit of my Billy Joel/Elton John/Hall and Oates era influences poking through. I'm a piano player since before my own memory.

Again - just anything that strikes you as "off" is what I'm seeking. I know I'm down to "sore thumb tom hits" level of detail - but all comments about something that misfires in your opinion are warmly welcomed.

This is all part of my larger album reorganization/remix project.

Thanks for the help!

Well sung and recorded, very crisp. Definite 70s solo artist vibes. I would remove the telephone argument in the background up to the 30 second mark. It feels out of place. Backing vox are great, but don't come in until 90 seconds in. Maybe put some little hints a bit earlier. Good song.

Big time seventies era writing. Good thoughts - particularly regarding introduction of the bgvs earlier. @Trojka added a bunch of similar earlier embellishments to a recent piece ... where I'd left it stripped - and it was exactly the right call. I lean towards a "less is more" bent in my production style. Enough to keep it interesting, but not so much to confuse and distract the ear.

Now I just need to try to sort out that balance.

Thanks for the input!!

I liked everything on the mix, but felt it was a little bright. 4-5K? I will admit, I seem very sensitive to that range, so take the feedback with extreme caution ;) First part, second part sounded very nice.

That's like me down in the 200 hz range, but kind of the opposite. I had tubes in my eardrums to drain them as a kid, and there's a hole in my hearing in that range resultant. So I tend to overdo the low end to compensate - which I also realize, so I over compensate in the other direction. :D

Thanks for the input!
