Styrofoam for walls?

Is styrofoam good for deadening walls for vocals? If so, could I put them up only on the front & sides or would I have to set them up behind and above, also?

Plus if it's smooth styrofoam it reflects a lot of high frequency making the area very crispy sounding.

Foam good, styrofoam bad.
 
One thing it does very well. Makes for a great fireworks show in your studio if it catches fire. Of course, all the rockers will dig it. Just like Great White:rolleyes:
