I remember some of you mentioning this mic in regards to my question on a good OH and acoustic/vocal mic.

Today the mic is going for 49.99 instead of 79.99.

I think this is going to be my typical question theme.

If I have two CAD M177's and two AKG Perception 200's, is this a radically different 'flavor' enough from them to grab a couple?

Different? Yes. Better? No. The M177 is one of the best budget workhorse condenser mics out there. If you've got two M177's, I'd wager that you'll never choose the V63's over them.

And oh yeah--for the sake of credibility: I have both. 3 M177's and 2 V63's, so on this one I speak from experience. I use the M177's a lot--don't use the V63's at all.
