Anyone know the type of microphone that is on Larry King Live?
Just out of complete curiousity.... It just looks cool...

It's an RCA 77 ribbon mic, but I don't know the exact model (there is A,B,C,D,DX,etc...)

I was wondering the same thing about the mic that sits on Leno's desk.

I watched Larry King tonight, but I only saw a corner of the mic. From what I saw, it looked like an RCA 77DX, but unless I can see the back side, I can't tell if it's a DX (which has a diamond shaped pattern adjustment plate) or a 77D (which has a round back plate).

The one on Dave Letterman's desk is a 77DX (note the elongated diamond plate on the back of the mic).
