They look like AKG or A&M mic stands which are very good.
All metal construction with no plastic pieces is a good sign.
Great price and the donate 1$+- to charity!

The only bad thing I noticed in the write up was ..... "Please note that these are not intended for constant stage use."
What ever that means?

I think it means that Steven Tyler can not have sex with it

I ordered one and it arrived today. I thought a might as well try it out for a tenner. I'm very impressed. For the price, I was expecting something very light and flimsy which might be useful for an occasional hi hat mic or something. It isn't at all though, it's built very well. For the price, I cannot fault it. It's not as good as the more expensive stands I own and I would rather not gig with it but for the studio, it's perfectly fine. I will be buying a few more and I would recommend them to anyone.

How much is the exchange price in USD James?

Well, I was gonna say that it looks suspiciously like a mike stand I end up using often that freakin' hates me, but I see I am late to the party, here.

So, it's a good stand, I guess.

Party on, Garth.

What did you ever do to have a mic stand hate you Steve?

I have no idea, but that one just hates me. If I don't dog the up/down collar down, HARD, the boom drifts away from my face, either left or right. And once, maybe more, it started to sag, WHILE I WAS PERFORMING. All I could think to do was follow it down, until I was singing while almost on my knees. Might have been okay if it had been a James Brown tune...

I've got at least six of those Studiospares stands that I've had for several years (since before I move to Aus which was 2007) and they're fine in the studio. They were a very good investment.
