Studiomaster VTX2 stereo vacuum comp/limiter?

has anyone used or heard or seen this unit? im thinking of getting one, as i have an old studiomaster desk and im very impressed with it and love it.

i happened to stumble in another forum over a post where someone compared it to a berringer unit i think, heres a link:

thoughts please?! i would have thought behringer would have stolen from studiomaster, not vice versa, but i dunno...
 
Kind of like the chicken and the egg question, only not nearly as important... It might suit you fine... but I'd run screaming like a girl from any compressor that had a warm/cold knob...
