How are the Mic pre's on these?????

I did a search and people seem to get good use out of them but specifically.......how are the pre's.

Bear in mind that I am currently dealing with desktop "toob" stuff and an Audiobuddy.

Not bad at all. I don't rely on the inboard pre's but have used them many times. I believe it uses 5532 OpAmps. The EQ is very good. Better than Mackie in my humble opinion.

Sweet.....I love encouragement.

Its always nice to get that gentle nudge for gear you were leaning towards getting.

Now, assuming that nothing is seriouly wrong with it upon rigorous inspection.......forthcomming........I have to figure out where the hell I'm going to fit it.

Do bear in mind that this company has been out of business for several years and that if anything goes wrong with it, it will be a very large doorstop. There are no replacement parts. There is no service.

Wrong. The company went out of business but they are reforming in India but that's neither here nor there. ANY decent repair tech could repair any part of it (resisters, caps, pots, faders, opamps,etc of just about any value imaginable are still made and schematics are available). And ANY board out of warrenty would cost you just as much to repair or refurbish.

...DAMN!!!!

But I did score an Event Layla 20bit system for $119.

.....which brings me to the Computer forum........
