Hey all

I'm about to upgrade some of my studio, mainly the desk. I'm using Cubase 5 running on a AMD Phenom II clocked to 3.7 Ghz, 500GB SATA, 2 GiG Ram, Windows XP Home. The PC side of things is OK as it's a dedicated DAW and never gets on the net, It also handles most things I throw at it (VST's) quite well. However I want to up the RAM to 4 GB so thinking Windows 7 ?

Next is my Audio interface, Not so good, It's a Lexicon Lambda.... Saying that though I get a latency of 9ms which is pretty good for this Interface.

Next question is Amp for the studio? I have been using an old denon amp which has seen better days, so any help there would be cool.

I use Tannoy reveal passive monitors but I'm thinking of upgrading them to KRK's?

I really need to upgrade my Mixer, I was looking at the Allen and Heath ZED 22 FX, anyone had any dealing with this on a similar setup as mine? It has a USB interface but no dedicated ASIO driver (they reccomend ASIO4All driver)

So bottom end is I'm looking for a quality 12 channel or more mixer in the £500 range new or used. Any reccomendations that would work well with my set up?

Firewire is also an option as are other interfaces that keep latency as low as poss.

I need a mixer with some effects as we sometimes rehearse tunes in the studio through headphones, so a bit of reverb etc is nice. However it's not important to be able to record the whole band, I usually work by recording single parts.

I've read umpteen articles and I'm still no nearer choosing a mixer.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Geoff
