Studio Projects pre amp into SB Live...

Hello I'm an aspiring rapper and I want to make some demo quality recordings. So far I plan to buy a studio projects B1, studio projects vtb-1 pre amp, and the necessary shock mount and mic stand etc. My question is what kind of cable do I use to connect my mic into my pre amp(XLR cable?), and what kind of cable do I use to connect from my vtb-1 pre amp into my SB Live sound card?

Thanks for your help and HR.com has really taught me alot about recording so far.

Thanks alot, well I ordered everything and hopefully I'll be making some music pretty soon. I bought a Studio Projects b-1, a Studio projects vtb-1, a studio projects shock mount, mic stand, monster standard XLR to XLR, and a 1/4 to 1/8 stereo cable. All together it cost me $260. A great x-mas gift that will surely be worth while in the future. Thanks again.
