Don

Don,

Are you still in the running? I need to leave for home fairly soon -- not to pressure you, just that if you have decided to drop out or are still considering outbidding me, I'd know whether to stick around or go on home and check from there.

Thanks,

Mark H.

Thank you, Don!

Alan, are you going to wait and see if others are interested, or are you ready to make a quick sale? :-)

Mark H.

OK, I'll check in from home in about half an hour. My final bid for the T-3 is $400.

Best wishes,

Mark H.

C1 bid

I'd pay $160 for the C1 but I don't have a card, although I can talk to someone in the States to buy it for me. So $160 it is!

$175 for the C1..

Alan I'l give you 175 for the C1.
Thanx,
Carmen

Go for it Carmen! Alan, I wonder how much does the C1 cost? I mean manufacturing cost. I know there are alot of other expenses, and I'm not interested in those, but I'd like to know if it costs over $100 (just the production process).

No disrespect meant. I think that the C1 is a great value for $230 even if it would cost $10 to manufacture. I'm just curious!

P.S. - I would have bet $190, but I don't have it right now and I don't want to make promisses I can't keep.

Alan,

So, you've sold 10,000 of these babies to guys like us who read, buy, and post reviews about your mics on sites like this.

That's amazing, because come to think of it - I've barely seen any print copy ads for your mics and I bought mine based on the internet reviews. ( I just flipped front to back through my latest EQ mag- nope, not one Studio Projects mic in there) and I don't believe musicians friend or sweetwater has your mics in their latest catalogs either...

My point is this: with the tremendous internet support you've recieved, ( not undeserved mind you) I would find it entirely appropriate that you might find a clever way to GIVE these mics away to members of this list!!!

DAN

PS- thanks for a cool, affordable mic

This thread makes me sick.

Alan, why dont you give the mic away to a lucky (depending on how you look at it) winner? You say it's not about the money. You wanna help someone? Give away a mic.

I'll let you pay me to take it off your hands....maybe I could replace my u87 with it. Then I could sell my u87 and buy a whole bunch of C1's!! Then I would be set! Sweet.

I hope I win this mic.

I also listened to that one dudes track on here the other day, with the C1, and it se

Hey tubedude, you wouldn't be talking about my C1 vocal track, would you?? :D Geez, I thought you liked it!!!

Imagine "that"

Ok, I have a great idea... everyone has until 10pm EST on thursday to guess a number between 1 and 99... the winner gets the T3 for $250 :)
And to avoid anyone making new screen names, you have to be at 50 posts or more to make your guess.

Now thats a slick plan... :)
Whattaya think, hehehe....

It sounded fine, it just lacked a little intimacy to me, the way the Marshall V67 does... sometimes its compression that does that, too, cause I've squashed the life right out of vocals many a time...
I never actually commented, but it sounds great, not knocking your skills at all :) I think it would have done better with the C3 though. Maybe not. Call her up and retake it, that would be cool! haha
Peace.

tubedude, don't like the 'over 50 posts' thing. It discrimininates against dummies like myself who don't know enough to answer posts and get to 50 in a normal lifetime ;)

But, I already have a C1 so I shan't be bidding anyway. I don't know if I'm man enough to handle 2 C1's. :)

I've noticed that there is nothing Alan can do that's good in your eyes. I think your just jealous that Alan gets sales and helps people on these boards at the same time. Instead of whining, why don't you go create something yourself that will be to the benefit of everyone on this board, price it reasonably, give free customer service on these boards, and do any repairs for free like Alan does. Go ahead. Create a pre amp, mic, cable, recorder, ANYTHING! Nah...I wont hold my breath. Why should you do anything to improve the lives of recording musicians when you can sit at home and hassle the people that do.
I respect people that create, not whine.
You only respect people that will give their product to you for free.

I think whoever is unlucky enough to live farthest from California, the sunny home of Studio Projects, deserves a free mic to cheer up.

Lemme see, I live nine time zones away...anyone else?

I think a T3 or C1 shipped to one of us in the Stockholm/Sweden area would be the smartest PR-trick ever pulled in history. You know. You'll be on the cover of National Geographic in NO TIME.. "Alan Hyatt tames savage land with his products".
Maybe Ola proves them to be THE ultimate Bag-Pipe microphones.. Think of it.. The sales would skyrocket in Scotland.

We could also pop by Max Martin when Brittny's here and let them try it out..

Maybe you can fly it over personally.. We could buy you some beer.. (nothing compares to free beer :D )
