Hello, was wondering what would be best for male vocals and/or mic'd guitar amplifiers? Thanks! Peter ><>

sm57 on the amp....

for the voice, it really depends on the voice......

I'd say any of the above. I've used SM58 mics on amps as well to good effect.

With a budget pre or mixer like a Behringer or Mackie, the B1 will have an advantage in the starting gate for vocals for most singers, most probably.

Personally, I'b buy at least one B1 (preferably two, for stereo micing) and one SM-57... they're both around $80USD each, and they're both great mics. Between the two, you'd be able to cover just about anything you ever come across.

Good point. With an SM57 or SM58 you'll need a pretty good mic preamp to get the good stuff out of these mics. With the B1, an Audio Buddy or Mackie or Behringer will get the job done.
