Hi !!

Last try for some respond ...

I`m currently using a MX8000 Behringer mixer for tracking onto 2 LX20´s. As i´ve noticed you all seem to hate that company so much and i´m now looking for some replacement board. What other brands would you people recomend. I´ve been looking at some Mackie 8-bus mixers, Allen & Heath, Tac and even the X2 Alesis console.

Anyhow the price runs up real quick comparing to my MX8000. I have no problems buying used stuff in good condition.
Any suggestions would be at real help i belive!!

Thanx

Mackie, A&H, Soundcraft and I just heard a tip to give a listen to the Soundtrac Topaz board......

Well hell....

...don't go replacing your board simply 'cos WE don't like it! If it's working for you, then keep with it! It's your ears that matter, not someone else's opinion... ;)

But if you're going to anyways, Gidge has posted some common ones.......

pretty soon i'm going to 8th street to demo some soundcraft mixers, in their spirit series. since i live in philadelphia i can actually go to their store instead of going on to their website. i'll tell you what i think. but as for now, the spirit fx-16 looks freakin great. good mic preamps from lexicon, which is a good name. 16 mic inputs plus some cool effects. custom made pots, and they are thorough with their wiring from what i hear. i would like to know how the mixwizard from a&h matches up with this board. make a good comparison for those of us who want to buy a decent "novice" mixer.
