Got some income tax from my mom and I was giving a mpc 2000xl and a triton keyboard for a birthday gift. I was happy when I got these but I wanna build an studio. first I wanna buy the best pc but I hear its better to build an pc then gettin an power mac. I wanna get a mac but which is better not talking about prices jsut overall. I was just going to get a power mac,m-box and a mixer board,turntables(which 1 should I get regular turntables or cdj type turntables, I wanna use the regular turntable to sample music like old record that aint on cd but then the cdj is more easier I heard to mix ur own music and such but if thats the point I would get the final stratch) and thats it, Idont know what else I need. i want some good sound that i can record and it'll be as clear as a real studio. and should i get waves diamond bundle for mastering my music?

an mpc and a triton.....thanks for reminding me i was born into the wrong family. lol. there really isnt a best overall i think because both the mac and pc will out-do each other by people's opinions alone. thats a personal choice you need to make...pc or mac? same thing as picking a religion. how many inputs do you think you'll need and if you decide to use the pc or mac will determine which soundcard would be best for you. as for a mixer.....once again...how many inputs do you think you'll need? a yamaha mg10/2 may work for ya

I agree that computer choice is subjective, and asking that question will envoke a mac vs, pc war in this thread, so I will tell you to try them out at a computer store and see which one you like best. If price is no object then you just go for the fastest processor and make sure you get two hard drives, one for your OS and one for audio tracks (120 gig). You seem to have the rest of it down (mixer and what-not). If you get a mixer, get one in mind with what you are doing, and how many simultaneous inputs you will need...
