So I'm confused to what a mic preamp and what an interface is. I know what they do but how are they connected to each other. For example, on some websites it saids that my fasttrack is a interface that has a preamp? It's a preamp and completely different thing than a interface?

Also is it
Mic > Interface > Preamp > Computer
I don't have a preamp but I can still use it.
