Hello All,

As a couple of you know I moved into my new house in Late FEb.
I just wanted to let you know the studio is coming along great. Actually, its been 27 days and I am still only half way done the ceiling... What a tedious process. I have to say I learned a lot here and I will post pics once I have pics worth posting. There are plenty of pics of my spot on this web.

all pics are worth posting - its fun and cool to see progress from other's studios. Hey, I posted all my mistaked :-D

27 days to do 1/2 a ceiling? You work at my pace.

Not sure if you recall or not... but it took 2 months to tear my studio down the studs and outer walls, another month to replace the termite eaten studs (without the roof coming down), 1 month to put up MDF, 2 months to sheet rock everything twice, then a year to mud and sand.

I dislike mudding and sanding, obviously :)

Now i'm soldering... since we have a newborn, I'm averaging 10 solder joints a day, which is about 3 TRS jacks. At this rate, I'll be able to use my patch bays in 2019.

Have Weller, will travel. :D
Same here, I'd love to see what you have going on.

Cool.

I will take a few shots. I am going with a bigger, 1 room design as opposed to the control room/recording room design. I have a rough in bathroom down here and it will eventually serve as a vocal booth. I have a lot of maple (second and better) left over from my floors and it will be used in the bathroom (that is , if I can seal it properly ect, otherwise it will warpapalooza) Either way I am taking my time sealing the joists and stuff before packing it with rockwool. Once that is done the resilliant channel is coming up. Pis are coming, don't worry.

I am really encouraged by the work so far. Even though I have ways to go, the sound has really been muffled with just the small amount of work I have done.

My work motto here: QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY :)
