hey yall! i just took some pics of my studio this morning. finally got the carpet finished. ahaha i hate depending on other people. anyway, only have to install my window, a few pieces of trim here and there, and i am good to go. feel free to take a look and comment. :) as we all like to have our ego stroked a bit every now and then. though i welcome the bad comments too.

looks nice i plan on building my studio in at least 6months... i want to find a building that isn't gonna cost me much though..

yeah that is always a factor. furtunatly, this building didnt cost me anything up front. my father is letting me use the space. the cost i have now is running cost, electricity, phone, etc. i dont even have a water bill cause i have my own well and septic tank.

Those lights don't add unwanted noise? small, but still?

no, they do not. i told the electrician that i wanted a dimmer that didnt make noise. and he got it. i was actually still expecting a little noise out of them, but i cant hear anything. i even got on a ladder and got up close to them to listen.

Foreverain,
What kind of music do you record/like? What are your future plans for this studio? Do you have clients already or looking for clients?
Just curious...

i am in the process of building my client list. i have a couple lined up already through the end of the year, i am hoping to get more. actually, it is kinda funny, i have had someone contact me already for employment. he is just about ready to graduate ARTI in orlando. the problem is, i dont have a client list big enough to hire him. i told him that i was willing to rent out to other engineers. that is kinda my status. i have a good job that is kinda funding my endeavors. it is going to be hard switching over from this stability, but ultimately, that is what i want to do.

oh yes! i record anything, from a hand bell choir (my ears are still ringing from this one) to heavy metal. i preffer acoustic rock though. that is the kind of drum sound i am trying to perfect.

foreverain4, your not allow to show your studio pics any more. Whoops ...to late I've already seen them.

VERY NICE :) :)
