Hey guys,

I have a Behringer MX802a and the Autocom Pro. Ive so far
reached great results the only problem is im SO PISSED off that my mixer does not have channel inserts. What good is
my compressor withoutit? I need help! I dont wanna buy a new board. Mabye I have to. Also, Can I not run a mic straight into the compressor...I tired and the level goin in was way too low..yes (probably because i wasnt using a preamp, and the impedance or something wasnt matched)
Anyways, if anyone can shd light on this situation I would Love it!

PEACE

PS! HEY i have POST and PRE aux se/re 's can i successfully run the compressor into one of them..either pre or post
and affect the WHOLE signal as opposed to a portion of it?

well, if your only recording 1 or 2 tracks at a time, you could

mic--->micpre-->main outs on mixer---->compressor-->whatever you are recording onto

just an idea,

Poo, maybe if you take a pre aux send from the channel, run it through the compressor, return the compressed signal back into another channel, and assign only that second channel to your main bus, then you still retain the full channel functionality on the compressed signal (e.q., monitoring, fx sends, etc.). Can't see why that wouldn't work.

You can also run your comp returns into channels on your mixer. A 48V mic into a pre will boost gain levels considerably.
