OK, you guys on i-drive, I've been wanting to hear your stuff but I don't know how to listen to one. I just registered and I put where I wanted to visit and I see the song titles, but how do I listen to them? Thanks, I've been wanting to listen to you guys on i-drive but never knew how. Help.

First off, if you dont have an mp3 player get one like www.winamp.com or www.musicmatch.com Install it. then...

Go to www.idrive.com ( try kaputo =) )find the visitors box and type the name in and click visit. Click on a song link or click on the shared link that should take you to the storage area. then just click on the song link again. You should then see the File Download dialog asking you to either 'open the file from its current location' or 'save this file to disk' your choice. i think theres another way to do it by clicking the check box next to the songs and click download. hope that helps

Yeah, I've got musicmatch, I tried last night to open file, it seemed to be taking a long time. Is this normal? It had been 5 or 10 minutes and it still wasn't nearly through. Is this about normal. I have a relatively new computer.

Ray, it depends on the speed of your connection and the size of the file your downloading, of course. Big files through a modem can take a while. I try to catch up in the other forums while I'm downloading, but you have to deal with your browser being slower (since the download is taking up a good chunk of the modem's bandwidth).

Thanks pglewis, your site is one of them I was trying to check out. It's a constant fight around here to get my kids off of ICQ long enough for me to download anything, but this weekend, when I should have more time, I'm gonna keep them busy with some select chores, and check out as much stuff on i-drive as I can so that I can give you guys my most unprofessional review..........Ray J

I bet you have real player or something like that installed. Instead of left clicking on the file, right click on it and select "save as", this will also let you save the file and listen to it at a later date. Will take a bit to download all depending on your connection and the size of the file.

Before you attempt any download, do the math and determine how long it should take. This will prevent you from swimming half-way across the ocean and turning back or the opposite problem- waiting for the stop sign to turn green.
