Strange RAM Problem

I moved from a Win Me, 256 meg of Ram configuration to a Win XP, 768 meg of Ram setup. I use a SoundBlaster Audigy with Samplitude 6.0 The problem is that it takes as much as twice the DSP power that I used to manage under my old configuration to run the same applications. Could it be a driver problem, I know that the SB are not that good...

Did you update to XP specific drivers? for all your hardware? If not you should, Also its my experiance that upgrades with microsoft are The Suck. Backup your data, format/reinstall and pop in the Me CD when it asks to confirm your previous OS......oh and download all those new drivers before you format too =)
