Strange "ping" noise

I am recording through a Delta 44 audio card into Cubase VST. Currently I am hearing a unwanted high pitch noise through the output of cubase. For instance, when recording drums, I am recording through 4 mikes into an analog mixer into the Delta 44 and Cubase. Out of the Mixer the drums sound fine. Out of Cubase I hear the noise.

What kind of ping noise? Is it repeating? Is it repeating ever second or so? Is it the metronome?
