i have a piece written that is pretty much simple 3 note arps (triplets) left hand plays the first 3 notes than the right hand plays exactly the same one octave up.

i am using sample moog as my sound. now the weird thing is when i record it, it comes out totally different (not in time, notes getting cancelled out) i know its not a problem with my midi setup. however when i play more staccato it does come out correctly. im assuming it could be because earlier synths could only play one note at a time, rather than chords etc... but when i play it live it sounds right, its only when i listen to the recorded version back it sounds crap. hmm??

all help much appreciated

You need to set your controller to send out (and the recorder to receive) messages on all channels as opposed to just one.
