Stoopid power amp question

I have a few power amps laying around I use for PA use.

I want to use a bass preamp with one of them, and I would like to use it in bridged mode. Does the amp have to be specifically designed to do this, or is there some jumping you can do to accomplish the same thing if the amp is just built for stereo use?
