I went to Sampletank site and downloaded sample files. After I opened up the zip I see that the samples have (.STIP) what kind of file is this and can I convert it to .wav?

Info you can use...
What you have hold of there is a Sampletank proprietary format sample.
They are kinda fussy about having their proprietary samples converted to wav. Does your version of Sampletank have an "export as wav" option?

sampletank has like an LE type version, it came with the digi bundle with my digi002. ive yet to try it though.
