Behringer HPX2000 Headphones.

OOOOOhhhhh yea, baby ! ! ! !

I just bought 4 more pair this afternoon, because the local music store just got in a whole shipment's worth. They're listed as "DJ headphones," but fuck those DJ's. These are great for tracking and listening. Extremely comfortable, and they sound good to boot. Just don't track quiet stuff like acc guitar or soft vocals 'cuz they'll bleed like . . . well, things that bleed a lot. :D

I was just walking by, and all of a sudden, I peep in the window, and there they were, calling me . . .

"Come, Chessrock . . . come . . . only $20 . . . "

Seriously, if you have any plans on doing anything recording-wise, you need decent headphones, and you need like a whole shitload of them, because they get lost, stolen, or you get like 100 people who want to come in and record at the same time.

And you need cheap headphones that don't suck. Get these headphones. Like now.

So Chess, what kinda of headphone amp/splitter are you using? Any thoughts on a good one?

I thought this thread was about a 50-case of Corona beers for $20!!

With the exception of their mixers, Behringer DOES make something every now and then cheap and useful!

I beg to differ on the mixers....
I'm using the UB 1832fx pro, and although not top end stuff, very, very good for the price. I would buy another Berhinger before I would buy an overpriced Mackie. Truth is simple....you just can not justifiy the price of 99 percent of the gear out there. RnD is a lame excuse.

Just an FYI...

The specs on those cans indicated a max power handling of 100mW... which is nothing - certainly won't handle levels needed for drum tracking.......

What's the difference between screwing with R&D investment protections and say, ignoring the copyright protection on your songs hmm...?
:p

I never mentioned screwing with the R+D investment. I was refering to the R+D not adding up to enough to justify the consumer cost.
As a musician of many years now, I have seen nothing but rape from every end of the business. From record labels, to Managers, to agents, right down to the low life small club owners. Believe me, the gear end is no different. i.e. $3000 for a new Les Paul. The price of a Les Paul has doubled in the last 10 years. By the way, you wouldn't happen to own a Windows PC, would ya? Business is busniess. When the consumer wins, like in the Behringer vs. Mackie issue, I say power to most competative.
