hmm.

i dont know really. i use either vic extreme 5A wood or promark 747 nylons. wood has less ping sound to it on ride and stuff.
 
I like wood tips better, generally, beause they do sound mellower as scrubs said, except at first when they're still hard and fresh. I use ProMark Millenium II 777s pretty exclusively.

You guys were all wrong. The Vic Firth American Classic Nylon Metal-N's are the ones that are best for me. :)

I just got a kit yeasterday...played it for the first time today. I have some Mahogany sticks. They make noise... :D
