Does anybody ever record vocals with two mics at the same time? Does it sound fuller? Is that even technically stereo?

If you record them to separate tracks, that would be dual mono. If you record them to one stereo track, and it's not recording the exact same thing, that would probably be considered stereo. When I record an acoustic, I sometimes use 2 mics, spaced a bit differently, but I capture that in separate mono tracks, and mix into a stereo later.

Ahh...good one...let's see if I remember that one.... :D

The trick I learned was that when you separate things, you part them.

It's considered stereo if you use a stereo miking technique.

There's very little reason to record a vocalist in stereo, or two-track, for that matter. It's especially vexing if the singer moves!

I have heard it done before and it sounded very good.
