Hi - I realized that I've been recording everything into stereo tracks. What about vocals - even though they are mono - if I use an insert or bus (chorus for example, or a stereo delay) should they be recorded in stereo? Or do they come bk in stereo fr the aux bus?

Also I create midi backing trax in Jammer & it seems like I should import the midi file in mono & then set pans in the sequencer?

Sorry if this is too basic. Thanks!!

the general rule is: record point-source audio (e.g. a vocal) in mono. You can create a stereo dimension by using a mono-to-stereo effect (e.g. reverb).

There is not much wrong with recording in stereo except that a stereo waves takes up double the space and is longer to process

You normally don't use reverbs, delays and choruses as an insert. You run them off of an aux send. That way, you can run all your drums (vocals, etc..) through the same reverb instead of having 12 different instances of a reverb.
