Stereo bus peaking louder than track

Hi all:

This might be a very dumb question, but I've noticed something Logic Pro recently that's mystifying me. Below is a screenshot. I have one track in a project that I slapped a few plugins in. The track is peaking at -13.9db, but the stereo bus is peaking around -8db. Why would the stereo bus be louder? There are no other tracks in the project, yet. Help!

looks like because you have the buss gain at +6 instead of unity.
