Anyone ever try one? Are they worth the price tag, considering they are pretty much unknown? I mean, I know they aren't much, but are the hollowbody guitars any good compared to something like the Artcore, in it's price range?

My friend just paid $180 + $20 shipping on the red 335 hollow-body Stellar. He immediately got it all set up at our local guitar store and he's real happy with it. He switched out the nut and is planning on upgrading the pickups. The tuners were switched with Grovers and that's it so far. The body is great but the mechanics are pretty cheap. It needs a little TLC before it is playable but for the money is worth it if money is the concern. I'm not sure what the Artcore stuff is like. Plannin on puttin is Seymor-Duncans in place of the pickups it has (they're pretty cheap) and it should sing.

I could be wrong..........my first guitar was an acoustic Stella Star.....19.95..

action high enougth to fly a plane under.....and I remember having to use a pair of vice grips to turn the tuning pegs....... :D :D :D :D :D

Who makes Stellar guitars?

I see that this thread is a little over 2 years old. Does anyone have any current information on Stellar guitars? I have been unable to find any information on them. Does anyone know who makes them and where they are manufactured? I have emailed an eBay seller several times to inquire about them and they refuse to answer my emails. I also emailed StellarGuitars.com or I tried to. When I filled out the email/contact form on their website and hit send, I got an error message "NOT FOUND". I have been unable to contact Stellar or anyone who sells them. This really baffles me. You would think that any legitimate company would answer email inquires made through their own system. And what legitimate retailer on eBay or anywhere else refuses contact by potential customers? All I have are questions and absolutely no answers. Very strange. Why?

If you're looking for a low-end guitar that doesn't suck balls, try Rondo or Xaviere. They're both better than what you're going to get for twice the money at GC or the like.

I am familiar with Rondo as I have an AL-2000 Goldtop. I am not familiar with Xaviere but will try your link. I have no intention of buying a Stellar but I was curious about them after seeing them on eBay and just wasn't able to find any meaningful information about them. I'm an information junkie. I just like to know all I can find out about anything that remotely interests me, particularly guitars!
