Hey everyone!
I'm really tossed up between these two interfaces. They both have everything i'm looking for, I think. 8 pres, ADAT, Hi-z.
It's too bad about no MIDI for the MR816 but it's no biggie.
I get the MR816 has slightly to much better everything but the main thing keeping me from a decision is i'm not sure if the Liquid Saffire pro 40 has direct hardware monitoring. (like, straight from the interface to the monitors) I have heard that it does, but then I have also heard that it doesn't actually.
If someone can let me know for sure that would be vastly helpful, because if not i'll definitely go with the MR816, but if so, well then i'd probably just got with the pro 40 and save me a couple bills.
