if there is anyone out there willing to take some time and help me out, I am trying to get started but am overwhelmed by all the products out there, right now I am looking for a decent drum machine under $700. I dont even know how i would record a beat that i made to a hard copy? any help from anybody is much appreciated.................

Boss makes some nice drum machines check out the DR-5, 770,760. All these are in the $300 price range.

ok computer?

Hi perception,

just a question: do you have a computer that you are planning to use for music recording, or that you could use?

Wanted to check with you before the disussion gets completely centered on drum-machines...

Cause if you're considering going computer-based, you might not want a drum-machine at all - instead using a software-based solution like Fruityloops, Acid etc. Would give you much more flexibility, functionality and lower cost.

That's IF you're making the computer plunge of course...

And I'm sure there are those out there will disagree, with valid points to make in favor of drum-machines... I'm just not one of them. :)

cheers /Tommy
