Starting a small home studio... need help with a few selections

Ok, I was wondering if anyone could give some input as to which of the following I should get from each piece of equipment. some of them are more expensive, so please let me know if you think the extra bucks is worth it. Thanks everyone!

1) Behringer MDX4600 Multicom PRO-XL - $130
2) DBX 266XL Compressor/Gate - $150
3) DBX 166XL Dual Compressor/Limiter - $250


=== Headphone Amps ===
1) Behringer HA4700 Powerplay Pro - $100
2) Presonus HP4 Discrete 4-channel - $100
3) Behringer Powerplay Pro-8 HA-8000 - $130



=== Direct Input Boxes ===
1) Behringer DI4000 Ultra-DI Pro - $100
2) BBE DI-100X Active - $150
3) BBE DI-1000 Active/Passive - $250

Since most everyone has a "favorite" item or two in their studios, I suggest that you take a trip to a major vendor and listen to pieces of gear that interest you.

It would be worth a trip since you are buying a few items.

- what is your cerrent setup?
- what will you be recording?
- what type of music you do?

anyone of yor choice will be fine...
rolls HA43 $50.. good buy, but not rackable

What do you want to use them for? those you listed are more for live sound application.
