Starter for 10!

Great site. I want to build a small but perfectly formed home studio for very basic demos. I like the look of the Fostex Dig8 track recorder with CD burner. Vocal quality is the most important thing to me so could you suggest a decent starter kit? Budget around $4,000. I already own a pair of Yamaha NS10's...

The Yamaha 4416, decent reference amp 200.00 (lots of choices there). SP C1, VX2000 mic pre. RNC compressor.(Im maybe getting one of these next.)
