I have got a 10" stagg splash and as it was cheep and the sound is quite good. I was thinking of buying some more but I wanted to know if anyone els uses stagg? and what's your opinion on stagg cymbals? berofe i go spending!

I take it that nobody Has even heard os stagg!
Oh well, If you have, I'd like to know! :D

Yeh there splashes are good so are their chinas. Theyre nice and oriental and trashy. BUT and a big but the same process dusnt work as well for the other cymbals. Dont get the Stagg apart form trashy sounding cymbals. The way they do it is a sheet of metal insted of a mould which is the traditional way to make them. Depending on your budget there are a few options. For Starting u cant beat the solars then if you like in the Uk then the next option is the Sabian Pro sonixs which are less than half price because Arbiter for some reason cut them. Whats your budget and ill try and help some more.

woah.... have you ever played a sabain solar crash?.... those are SO bad.... stagg crashes are very nice.... go for the DH Brialliant Series, you can pick them up for £50 and less... lovely deep rich oriental sound on my 18" crash. I use that cymbal with set up of A Customs, K Customs and Sabain AAX and i think my Stagg 18" crash is one of best cymbal i have. not bad for £45

A & K customs

I have a friend thats going through A's like mad.I guess they dont hold up like the Z's?

yeh... i hate the Z sound though, too raw... Ks, As, and the custom version are perfect for me... I play mixture of indie, goth, punk, emo

For the money you cant beat the solars - THEY SUX I KNOW, But cymbal for cymbal they beat the staggs. ride by stagg is nasty - Crashes are ok - BUT only for a trashy sound. And the hats well - personal taste and syle of music i guess. ANd for that kind of money its staggering (no pun intended) Yours getting cymbals instead of tin foil that actually bends and dents! I Use A customs, AAX, AA and Hand Hammered........AND a 8" stagg spash. stagg spashes are nice as are the chinas and im my view the splash i have beats top end Zs. Only my view But for £20 can yuor really go wrong??? O has anyone tried the UFIP spashes. Litterally took my breath away. They hold a pitch - no joke they have a nice trashy attack then bend and hit and hold an actuall pitch! Im sticll in shock. Thyre retailing for £80 for a 8".

Heavy bitchs - you actually hav to smack the paraons rides to hear anything. But they seem nice to me - i havnent heard the whole range yet.

On tour in Spain I actually bought two Stagg China's (10 and 12 inch) and broke them both the same week. Not very bad though, but it says a lot, and not only about my playing style.
