I got a Korg SP-200 stagepiano connected to a Marshall VS100 guitar amp 'cause I ain't got additional room for an activ monitor for the piano.

I tried all kinds of settings but I can't get a good sound out of it.

Anyone got experience hooking up a stagepiano to a guitar amp?
Is there any way to get a decent sound out of it?

watch out you don't blow the head. Had a person I know blow up an Ampeg bass head when he plugged in a shitty casio toy keyboard.

as for a good sound. I'd stick to using suitcase piano, clavs, whirrlies, rhodes, and organ sounds. Crank in a little reverb and gain, and you'll be rockin.

Just be careful you don't ruin the amp!

that's an open back combo amp is'nt it??? you'll never get good bass response out of an open back... so just stay away from key bass parts etc... dont use heavy cluster chords in your left hand...

Hmm, right.
So to sum it up: there's no way I'll get a decent sound out of the SP-200 if connected to my marshall (VS100) amp?
that's a shame
tnx for the replies though
